Why did the chicken cross the Autobahn? To get unwittingly involved in racial stereotyping, it seems. Explaining their new fried chicken offering, Sprehe spokesperson Judith Witting said, "It was supposed to be a homage to the American lifestyle and the new US president." Uh-huh. Right. I guess it could be worse. They could be selling Obama Foot-Long Hot Dogs.

If you buy the, do you get some sort of discount on watermelon?
Ya, they had NO idea what they were doing.
So my question: Could it be considered racist for us to make fun of racism by propogating other similar stereotypes?
Plus, I think the more disturbing issue here is that they're trying to sell an "American experience", but expect people to dip chicken fingers in curry sauce.
I thought about and, ya, it was racist of me. And the curry thing boggled my mind, too.
By the by, I told your "why did the chicken cross the road" joke to my kid and he didn't get it.
No, I'm the one who started the propogating. Hopefully people won't stumble on this blog thinking "shiny object" are burning crosses.
